30 Days of me #1

Wow! Sorry about that time lapse!
Quick update...
Moved to Washington state.
Tony- Navy
Miles - Toddler
Me - Gallbladder surgery

There will be a test later.

Today i've been feeling a bit nostalgic and more than a bit homesick for family close by. Which means i've been facebook stalking. It's an addiction, i know, but i'm seeking treatment soon. During said stalking on my sisters page, i saw a post... "30 Days of Me". Every day she would post a picture of something that described her in some way. I thought it was cool. Which is funny because i used to think things like that were tacky (do people still say tacky?). I know i have done something similar years ago, but it might be fun to see how i have changed since then. I think i'll take it a little further and add blog explanations.
I'm putting the full list here now so i can find it again quickly. and to make it easier to use the idea for yourself in you feel so inclined

Day 01 - A picture of yourself with fifteen facts.
Day 02 - A picture of you and the person you have been close with for the longest.
Day 03 - A picture of the cast from your favorite show.
Day 04 - A picture of your night.
Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.
Day 06 - A picture of a celebrity you've been known to look like.
Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item.
Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh.
Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most.
Day 10 - A picture of something you do for fun.
Day 11 - A picture of something you hate.
Day 12 - A picture of something you love.
Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist.
Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without.
Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die.
Day 16 - A picture of someone who inspires you.
Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.
Day 18 - A picture of something you're jealous of.
Day 19 - A picture of your most favorite fictional character
Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.

Day 28 - A picture of something you're afraid of.
Day 29 - A picture that can always make you smile.
Day 30 - A picture of someone you miss.

So, here we go...
Day #1

1. I have an unrealistic self standard and i'm a little vain. I don't really care what i look like day to day, but I feel the need to present a certain portrait to the world. It took me forever to find a picture that i thought was "good enough". It's not even current.
2. I LOVE to read. My husband might say i love it too much sometimes.
3. I have a facebook addiction...although, like i said before, i am seeking treatment.
4. I enjoy singing and acting, but haven't had the opportunity for a while, I miss it.
5. Family is the most important thing to me.
6. I am fiercely loyal.
7. Someday I want to run my own business
8. If I had a million dollars the first thing i would do is get out of debt... makes me sound old right? After several more practical things, I would Travel!
9. I have recently learned that i enjoy sushi, and shrimp. When i was younger just the thought grossed me out
10. I am very proud that there is no "E" in the middle of my name. It makes me unique.
11. I also have a shoe addiction.
12. Faith is the only things that keeps me going sometimes
13. My two favorite quotes are:
          - Well behaved women rarely make history -
          - Being well rounded in life is ideal, but being well curved is more exciting -
14. I still have that little girl dream of being a princess and having a pony.
15. It's really hard to come up with fifteen things about myself.

The secret plans of husbands vol. 1

So, i told Tony i wanted to get pictures of Miles taken. Well he stalled for a couple weeks and then said okay. Now we have evolved from getting pictures of miles taken at JC Penney or Walmart, to building our own light box and taking the pictures ourselves. So off we go to Lowe's to get stuff for the frame and Walmart for Fabric. (tony bought the fabric himself...i was so proud) I've also been researching BILLIONS of baby photos i want to copy. I'll post the pictures when we finally get them finished. And after tony has time to play with them on photoshop. secretly i think this was his plan the whole time.

PVC pipe and fittings: $20.00
White muslin: $33.00
Time sewing and building light box: 4 hrs
Satisfaction of DIY: priceless? i guess we'll find out

Good things come to those who wait.

I know it took a long time, but i finally remembered my blog password. That has been nagging at me for about 2 years. now that i'm here i don't really know what to say....nothing really to share. Well there was that mission thing, and then marrying the most wonderful man, and now getting ready for a baby in May. Not much you know? Well i guess when something really interesting happens i'll post it. But for now i have to write down this password and put it somewhere i'll remember it. wish me luck.

the life and times of extra shows

so i think I'm going to start writing this blog as letters to Patti. I'm pretty sure she is the only person who reads it. Which is fine by me, Patti's pretty awesome.

So today is going to be a test of how long i can stay awake and perform at the same time. Joesph has been selling so well that we've added late evening shows. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing except for the fact that i went to sleep at 1:00am and then woke up at 5:00am. And then to do shows until 11:00 and the go to work again tomorrow. the funny thing is I'm really excited about it. Theatre people are crazy!!!

Oh well, at least i can get a stupid kite to fly (that was for you patti)

poetry bandwagon

Resumé

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

Dorothy Parker

i love her sarcasm. it appeals to me tremendously.

p.s. Patti, great mind think alike i guess.

thoughtful mind, empty stomach

It always takes me forever to start writing a blog. i have to sit and think about what i am willing to share, how to phrase it, and then after i get about a paragraph done i erase it. because somehow it's never right. even now it has taken me three tries to get this far. I've discovered it's because i don't think I'm as intelligent, well educated or as eloquent as those who will read my blog and that somehow I'm being judged on the quality of my blog. i know that sounds absurd and I'm not trying to get down on myself. i guess I'm just a perfectionist and if it can't be perfect, then i won't do it. my own editor you could say. which is funny because i blurt out everything that comes to my brain when I'm talking.

it's funny the thoughts you have when you haven't eaten yet and it's getting to be late afternoon.
